In the first session I will outline some information before we begin and then I give you the space to talk about anything that is on your mind. I don't give advice but I am there to listen and to check in with you and I may ask some questions to clarify to make sure I have understood.

Sometimes beginning your counselling journey can feel difficult talking about things from your past or present day that are causing you distress but you may notice that talking about these can help you to grow and change as a person and to understand yourself better which in turn may help you to feel better too.
